All Proceeds Benefit
Battle Ground Girls Golf

Every dollar raised at the Vancouver Open goes directly to Battle Ground Girls Golf. Our community has always shown up — and this tournament is one piece of that foundation. We're working hard to make sure the program is comfortable and sustainable, year after year.

Where We Are

The school levy has failed multiple times and is unlikely to pass. Golf receives zero public funding. We're already working hard to reach this year's minimum by the deadline — and we hope to take that stress off the table for good.

What We Fund

Season costs, golf bags, uniforms, jackets, extra teaching time, and course time. Their season starts in February in the Pacific Northwest — they practice and compete in conditions most people won't even walk in, and they show up every single day.

The Bigger Picture

Our community has always stepped up — and this tournament is one piece of that foundation. Once Battle Ground Girls Golf is in a comfortable, sustainable place, we want the flexibility to support other programs that need it too.

About The Tournament

What Is This, Exactly?

The Vancouver Open is an annual friend-group golf tournament held somewhere in the greater Vancouver, WA area — usually a course that will still have us back. It is not affiliated with the PGA Tour, the USGA, or any governing body that would have us.

The format is simple: show up, hit the ball, count your strokes (honestly or otherwise), and try not to lose too many balls in the Columbia River. We crown both a Men's and Women's Champion — each gets a custom trophy, a winner's jacket, and the right to talk about it for exactly one calendar year, because the Chairman will be calling you "Champ" every single time he sees you.

Side events include polls for best dressed, worst shot, most creative excuse, and the coveted Chairman's Award — given at the sole discretion of the Chairman to whoever the Chairman feels like giving it to. Oh, and we raise money for charity. All proceeds this year go to Battle Ground Girls Golf. The Champ gets to hand over the giant check. It's a whole thing.

Sanctioned by no one. Respected by few.
